Square acquired Weebly in 2018. Since then, active development has effectively stopped: the mobile apps were removed from app stores in December 2025, no new features have shipped in years, and new signups are steered toward Square Online. Third-party analysts classify Weebly as maintenance mode, not active development.
Heading hierarchy is limited to H2
Weebly's editor does not support H3 heading tags natively. Long-form posts that need topic hierarchy are limited to H2s and paragraph text, which constrains how well you can signal content structure to search engines.
