Upload a PDF from your media library

Open the Media page in your dashboard and click Upload. Pick images, PDFs, or both at once. Each file lands in your media library with a public URL you can copy, and the library filters by All, Images, or PDFs, so a hundred blog images never bury the one document you are looking for.

Your PDFs are served from the same global CDN as your blog: 200+ edge locations, free SSL, no separate hosting bill. A reader clicking your link gets the file from the node nearest to them, and it opens in the browser instead of dropping into their downloads folder unnoticed.

Link a PDF from any post

Select some text in the editor and open the link tool. The same box that searches your published posts also searches your uploaded PDFs, grouped under their own heading. Type whitepaper, click the file, and the link is in your post. You never copy a URL between two tabs.

For a download that readers cannot miss, drop a CTA button into the post and give it the PDF link. That is the pattern behind most lead magnets: a post that argues the case, and a button that hands over the full document.

Stored exactly as you uploaded them

Your PDF is served byte for byte as you gave it to us. Nothing is re-encoded, no page is rasterized, and a digitally signed document keeps a valid signature. What your designer exported is what your reader downloads.

That puts the file size in your hands. The media library lists what every file weighs, so if a whitepaper is heavier than you want, compress it before uploading. You keep the quality decision instead of us guessing at it.

Limits

10MB per file. That covers the documents most teams publish: whitepapers, one-page price lists, brochures, case studies, menus. Very large scanned reports may need to be split or run through a compressor before uploading.

One storage budget, shared with your images. 1GB on Basic, 5GB on Pro, 20GB on Super. There is no separate PDF allowance to run out of while your image allowance sits unused. Agency plans pool their storage across every site instead of splitting it, so one heavy blog can borrow from twenty quiet ones. The media page shows what you have used, and deleting a file frees the space immediately.

Every file is public. Anything in your media library is readable by anyone who has the URL, exactly like the images on your posts. Upload documents you intend to publish, not contracts or customer data.
