View Dashboard > Leads
Superblog includes built-in lead generation tools so you can convert blog traffic into real inquiries, subscribers, and pipeline.
You can configure three lead-capture surfaces:
- inline forms
- exit-intent popups
- sidebar widgets
Each of these can work in two ways:
- as a form that collects lead data
- as a CTA that redirects visitors to a destination URL
When used as forms, they can collect:
- email addresses
- mobile numbers
- custom data on supported plans
What the leads section covers
From the Leads area, you can:
- configure site-wide lead capture
- choose where lead capture appears
- view collected leads
- download leads as CSV
- connect leads to Zapier
- send leads to your own webhook endpoint
Inline form
The inline lead form appears below blog posts and can also appear on the homepage.
The colors are matched automatically to your site's theme.
This is usually the safest starting point because it fits naturally into the reading flow.
It can be configured either as:
- a lead form
- a CTA that sends the visitor to a destination URL
Popup
Superblog's popup is designed with restraint in mind.
By default:
- it is shown when a visitor tries to exit a post page
- it is not shown when the visitor exits the homepage or other non-post pages
Use popups carefully. They can work well for conversion, but overuse can hurt the reading experience.
Like the other lead surfaces, the popup can work either as a form or as a CTA redirect.
Sidebar widget
The sidebar widget can:
- redirect visitors to a destination URL
- collect email addresses
- collect phone numbers
- collect additional custom data
It is shown across posts where the sidebar layout is available.
This makes it useful both for direct-response CTAs and for persistent lead collection.
Viewing and downloading leads
You can view captured leads in a table from the dashboard.
Lead records can include:
- email or mobile number
- date captured
- page where the lead was captured
- custom field data
You can also export leads as a CSV file whenever needed.
Zapier integration
On the Super plan, you can connect Superblog leads to Zapier.
Typical workflow:
- Create an API key from the
Datasection. - Choose the official Superblog app in Zapier.
- Paste the API key into the Zapier connection.
- Configure the destination app or workflow.
This is useful when you want to route leads into email tools, CRMs, spreadsheets, or internal automations.
Webhook delivery
On the Super plan, Superblog can also send lead data directly to your webhook endpoint.
This is useful when you want real-time delivery into your own backend or operations workflow.
You can configure:
- the webhook URL
- a bearer token for authentication
Superblog sends the lead data as a POST request.
Advanced lead options
Depending on your plan and setup, lead capture can include more advanced controls.
Custom fields
Custom fields let you collect more than the default email-or-phone input.
Use them only when the extra information is genuinely necessary, because more fields usually reduce conversions.
Disallowed lead patterns
You can block specific patterns of lead input and show a custom validation message.
This is useful when you want to filter out:
- personal email domains in B2B flows
- obviously invalid phone numbers
- low-quality inputs that do not match your lead criteria
Popup and sidebar tuning
Popup and sidebar behavior should be tuned carefully.
The goal is to improve conversion without making the reading experience feel aggressive or distracting.
Post-specific lead generation
Normally, lead generation is configured site-wide.
But from a post's Advanced Options in the post editor page, you can override the default setup for that specific post.
That lets you configure custom versions of:
- inline lead form
- popup
- sidebar widget
Each of those can still be configured either as a redirect CTA or as a form that collects lead data.
This is especially useful for:
- campaign-specific content
- high-intent comparison posts
- content upgrades tied to one article
- posts aimed at a different audience segment
Best practices
- start with a simple site-wide lead setup
- use inline forms first before relying heavily on popups
- ask only for the fields you truly need
- use custom fields and validation rules only when there is a clear business reason
- test webhook or Zapier delivery before depending on it operationally
- use post-specific leadgen only on posts where a custom offer is clearly justified
Newsletter note
Superblog does not have a separate newsletter feature.
Instead, you can customize lead generation forms to act like a subscribe form if that matches your workflow better.
Trial limitation
Lead generation is disabled during the trial period to help prevent abuse of the platform.
